Roleplay - 10th of October

Sargent came above ground and scanned the area. He growled, more pleased that Quagmire was gone. Before anyone else could wake up, he headed off to rove alone.

ooc: I plan to have Grischka return on the next RP day. I think I'll have him rejoin the Barking Boys with a male pup he found along his travels but Quagmire won't rejoin.

Quagmire is asleep in his bolthole. He has been confined to it since the day he was injured in a dominance fight with Sargent.

Caoptain came above ground and saw Sargent heading off, he knew that when he was doing that he planned to hunt alone.

Quagmire wakes up and attempts to turn over on his stomach but he jerks back with a yelp as intense pain shoots through his neck muscles. His other wounds seem to be healing quickly but his sprained neck will take a while to heal. For the past couple of days, he wasn't able to see clearly but today he can see perfectly through his eyes and he's been able to forage to keep his strength up so he hasn't lost too much wieght during his time of recovery. Quagmire decides to lay there for a little longer before choosing to head above ground.

Captain waits for the others to wake.

Quagmire gets on his feet and emerges from his bolthole. As he tries to glance around, he's met with pain surging through his neck muscles. He grits his teeth and tries to ignore the pain as he sits up to sun himself. He'll just have to deal with a couple more days with keeping his head straight but that's going to be impossible to do when he needs to keep an eye out for danger.

Deak emerges, yawning groggily. He sees Captain and smiles. Where will we go today?

Captain narrowed his eyes to the desert, without their leader for the time being, it was probably best that they didn't go far from the burrow. He decided he could momentarily take Sargent's place, just enough to lead the others out foraging. Foraging, Sargent has gone roving alone this time.

Quagmire starts to move away from the bolthole. He keeps his head foward and looks off into the Kalahari landscape ahead of him with a stern, confident expression on his face. Now that he's healing pretty well and can get around better, he's going to head off in search of his remaining son, Mischka. He'll search high and low, in every meerkat group territory and in every part of the kalahari to try to find him. He knows his son is out there somewhere, alive and well. He just knows it! He won't give up his search until he finds him. But as he looks up at the sky he begins to wonder about his other son Grischka. He may have assumed he died after they were attacked at the Devils but now he isn't so sure that he's dead. While he was running to save himself, he caught a glimpse of Grischka running in the distance looking gravely injured. No. he has to be dead by now. he couldn't have survived the injuries he recieved during the assault. he just couldn't have. Not with the injuries he had. But Grischka has been known to have a strong will to survive so maybe he IS out there...somewhere. Quagmire starts to think possitively. He'll someday find Grischka as well. He just hopes he survived his injuries. He's going to start his search where their family split began...in Devils territory. It's going to be dangerous and he could risk being killed this time if the Devils catch him snooping around again but he has a feeling that may be where one of his sons could be. Confident about finding one of his sons, Quagmire heads for Devils territory to retrace his steps.

Deak frowned, having thought that they'd go roving, but decided not to challenge Captain. Besides, it been a while since he had foraged properly.

Captain led the way out to the only foraging grounds in their territory.

As Quagmire approaches the Devil's territory border, he releases a nervous sigh. The vicious attack at the Devils is still strongly etched in his mind. It felt like it occured just yesterday. The flash back of seeing his son Grischka getting torn to shreds passes his vision. He sits on haunches and sighs nervously again. But he has to go through with this. His loyalty is much stronger than fear and he'll stop at nothing to find his sons. If he fails to find his sons he'll at least die trying. He plucks up the courage to keep going. He won't stop, not even to eat. That's how determined he his to find both his sons.
