Tara looked from Roger to Tigerlilly then to Meerkitty Kat, she backed away slightly.

Shade narrowed her eyes.

Meerkitty Kat grinned, oblivious to any hostility.

Tara backed away a little more.

Tigerlilly suddenly turned on Shade her tail up and fangs bared.

Tara jumped away from Tigerlilly as she moved toward Shade.

Akio turns and watches.

Not far from the Summit group, a lone male is exploring their territory. His name is Setoshi, a 7 month old meerkat who was recently seperated from his group. For a meerkat who has been spending time alone for a long time, he should be staying on alert and feeling very nervous. But instead he's not taking things seriously and is taking risks of checking out strange places that may hide unseen dangers. He was almost predated earlier in the day when he explored a hallowed out tree but after facing so many threats while he's been on his own, he's begun to think that maybe he should start looking for a meerkat family to join. The only way he's going to survive to adulthood is if he becomes accepted into the safty of a group. He climbs up a fallen down tree that is out in the open. He carelessy ignores any danger that may be near by. He scans the area amazed at the beautiful sights of the Kalahari seeing it as a place where there's still SO MUCH yet to expore. Suddenly his eyes lock on to a group of meerkats in the distance. He chirps excitedly and jumps down from the fallen down tree. He begins to approach the group showing no fear or submission. He has his tail and head held high and pads confidently towards him but what he doesnt know is that his body language could get him in to serious trouble.

Tara sees the pup and peeps to the others.

Akio sees Setoshi and growls slightly.

Setoshi hears Tara alert the group but doesnt become cautious. He continues his confident approach toward the group chirping excessively.

Akio lifts his tail and snarls loudly.

Setoshi sees Akio's threatening display and eyes him curiously. Suddenly something inside him is telling him to be cautious. Setoshi stays brave and lowers his tail. He enters the center of the group and approaches Akio sniffing him cautiously.

Meekitty Kat bounds over, greeting the new meerkat with a loud bark.

Akio narrowed his eyes at the pup. He thought to himself, this may only be a pup, but so was I once, now llok where I am. He decided to let him stay... for now. He turned and scent marked Setoshi.

Setoshi returns a greeting bark to Meerkitty kat. He was so excited to meet new meerkats. He chirps a thank you to Akio for allowing him to stay with the group. Now he has a group to return to after his adventures. He goes around greeting every member of the group.

Tara smiled at Setoshi as he greeted her.

Setoshi smiles back at Tara then bounds around happy to be once again part of a group. Suddenly his thoughts turn to his sister Pearl. He wonders what ever happen to her since they got seperated. He looks off into the distance standing on his hind legs hoping she's still alive and well where ever she may be out there. He plans to one day head out to search for her.

Tara sits and starts to groom herself.

Meerkitty Kat barks again and starts chasing her tail.

Tara smirked, she had learned not to laugh out loud when Tigerlilly was around.

Setoshi chuckles as he watched Meerkitty kat chase her tail. It reminded him of when he used to that when he was 2 months old and still does today when he's really, really hyper.

Akio looks out for any signs of danger.

Setoshi watches Akio's sentry stance with interest. Recently he's become interested in learning how to perform sentry duty. One of his ambitions is to one day become a brave and reliable heroic member of a group.

Tara smiled at setoshi, the group could use more of those kinds of meerkats.

Setoshi smiles back proudly at Tara. He'll do anything to help keep his new family safe. That is if he doesnt get distracted into adventuring too much.
